The only reference to Visual C++ 2005 that I can find in my installed programmes list from the control panel refers to M/S Visual C++ 2005 ATL update KB973923. The update history records KB2467175 as being installed successfully initially on 14/04/11 and again on 14/05/11, but the same as for the above item KB2467175 does not appear on the installed updates list when viewed from the control panel.īecause neither of these updates appear on the list of installed updates from the control panel view I do not get the option to uninstall them. I have checked the update history and now find KB2538242 is reported as installed successfully on innumerable occasions since first installation record dated 17/06/11, but it does not appear on the installed updates list when viewed from the control panel.
